I want to suggest some things so you can take in mind if you intend release a new version:
i just found Mercury Vista here: [link] and i love it to.. The advantage Mercury Vista has is that you can put the launchy box near the systemtray.. and the dropbox opens up.. just as same as Brushed Steel.. but the diference is that the elements on launchy box are located in a diferent position (or order) so you can watch all the launchy interface wherever you put your launchy box.
i hope you understand me (i'm not english).
Please consider to make a wider version.. that would be cool.. this way persons that have accesibility problems as bad vision could see the items in the drop box in a more convinient size for them.
I love Mercury vista because it lets the very beautiful icons some apps have... but i love most this gourgeos skin because the bottom is awesome.
I have some annoyance when grabbing the interface to put in other places in the screen.. or clicking in wrong place to get the program options thats because the text area interferes with mouse.. (i know now) some people can have same problem.. maybe adding a very thin white line around the text box could help to see where to clic..
By the way the skin: Spotlight Wide that is included by default in the installation dir has a very useful and visual option.. when upgrading catalog appears a little circle cursor (similar to flash in web pages) could you add it too? .. that was very helpful for me when having problems with catalog.. and discovers launchy was allways triying to refresh it and it was slowing my pc..
That's all.. If you plan in new skins.. consider doing some like this in gold style.. or graphite.. or cooler.. a wood texture..
This is great! i am considering to make some skins.. do you know some resource (tutorial or manual) where i can learn?.. Readme is just useless..
THANKS FOR THIS GREAT JOB!! KEEP IT IN THAT WAY!!
